Bame Lesego Boitshoko is a Mandela Washington Fellow 2024 Alumni and an award-winning academic. As a Chartered Management Accountant and research leader, he has over four years of experience in academia, research, and innovation. He currently serves as the Faculty Lead Research and Innovation Coordinator at Botswana Accountancy College, driving an Academic model that emphasis research expansion and socio-economic development initiatives. Bame has facilitated strategic collaborations, including a partnership between BAC and Thunderbird School of Global Management, providing Southern Africa with access to world-class entrepreneurship and innovation education. He also led an alliance between BAC and United Nations Botswana, focusing on youth engagement in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), impact-driven research, and policy innovation. Holding an MSc in Finance, Bame is committed to SME empowerment, economic sustainability, and advancing Botswana’s research landscape. His pro bono training program, Growing Green Economies, integrates indigenous knowledge with eco-awareness and risk management, fostering SME climate resilience and economic scalability.
