Gift Siziba

Gift Ostallos Siziba is a Zimbabwean politician, academic, and international speaker. His political career began as a student activist, where he was elected President at the University of Zimbabwe. He later became the national youth secretary general of the MDC, leading young people in mainstream politics. In August 2023, he made history as one of the youngest members of parliament in Zimbabwe's 10th parliament. He was also appointed National Deputy Spokesperson of the main opposition, the Citizen Coalition for Change, led by Advocate Nelson Chamisa. Gift's academic credentials include an Honours degree in Political Science (2015) and a Masters in International Relations (2018) from the University of Zimbabwe. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Free State in South Africa as a Canon Collins Scholar.
He is an alumnus of the Mandela Washington Fellowship (2020) and the Obama Foundation (2021). In August 2024, he was appointed co-facilitator for the Obama Foundation Fellowship 2024 cohort. Additionally, he is part of the Africa Group of Negotiators' climate change class of 2024.
