Mthokozisi is an alumnus of the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship with a specialization in Law and Human Rights. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws from Fort Hare and Rhodes (South Africa) respectively. Mthokozisi is passionate about socio-economic rights and socio-economic development and has a keen interest in how academic research and knowledge can have a meaningful impact and translate into informed legislative and policy interventions. Mthokozisi is a legal consultant and often works with organizations involved in research, lobby and advocacy on social and economic rights and governance. Mthokozisi has also worked for the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission as a Human Rights Officer, the Judicial Service Commission of Zimbabwe as a Magistrate, and has taught law courses at some universities in Zimbabwe.
